Every Journey Begins With A Single Stroke

P

rogression of a painting.

Playing and experimenting with colours and shapes, lines, dots and images. You don't follow a plan.....just let the painting evolve. It doesn't have to make sense, the colours don't need to match and you can't do anything wrong.

Here are pictures of one such journey - from start to finish.

A

nother Journey.

Permission was given for this selection of one painter's journey from first to present day painting (there are lots of paintings in between these ones).

This painter had not painted since childhood and believed she could not paint. She believed she could not paint images like houses, people or animals. When encouraged to take risks, just for fun, she found that not only could she recognize what she had painted but also enjoyed herself immensely and increased her self confidence
